If you are interested in culture and history, and want to learn about the past while enjoying your holidays in the loveliest villages on the Costa Brava, look out for a camping de Girona where you can enjoy yourself and spend time with your family.

This label certifies that these campsites are located close to interesting cultural heritage sites. They offer special cultural activities such as museum visits, guided tours of villages and fascinating workshops for local crafts.There are six campsites with special offers in this category located in beautiful villages on the Costa Brava.

 

The first of these is located in Begur and is named after the village. Camping Begur is located very near to the Medieval village of Pals and has guided visits of both Pals and Begur.

Camping Cadaqués is in the town of the same name, which was the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. It is also close to Portlligat, where the artist’s house-museum is. A visit is highly recommended.

In l’Escala, we find Camping Cala Montgó. Staying at this campsite means that you are very close to the Greek and Roman ruins of Empúries, where you can enjoy a guided tour to learn more about this period of history.

In Sant Pere Pescador there is Camping Las Dunas and Camping Las Palmeras which are also close to the Greek and Roman ruins of Empúries and which also offer guided tours. This campsite also offers the opportunity to take pottery and glass-making workshops that the entire family can enjoy.

Located very close to Pals, its medieval village and its rice fields are Camping Neptuno and Camping Mas Patoxas, in a perfect place to enable all campers to make visits in tourist trains or Segways

There is also a campsite for the more ecologically inclined. Camping Ecològic Lava, in the medieval village of Santa Pau, offers guided tours to learn more about the remarkable volcanic origins of the region,

Both fishing port and cultural hub of the Costa Brava, Sant Feliu de Guíxols has Camping Sant Pol which offers visits to the Thyssen Museum or activities with the fishing fleet in the village port.
