European Freestyle Windsurfing Championships at the Las Dunas Campsite

After the success of the 2018 edition, this year from May 21 to 26 there will be the second edition of the European Freestyle Windsurfing Championships at the Las Dunas campsite in Sant Pere Pescador.

The Costa Brava area and its unique surroundings are the perfect hosts for the Freestyle Windsurfing Championships (European Freestyle Pro Tour – EFPT) which took place, for the first time, in Spain in 2018.

The good atmosphere, the involvement of the organization by the “Fase Wind” school and the reception of the participants  were a week of success that they will try to repeat  from May 21 to 26. This second edition promises to inform  the public about a spectacular discipline, the best facilities, services and opportunities offered by the Las Dunas campsite.

Freestyle is a truly aesthetic discipline, which allows you to enjoy the pirouettes, rotations and figures made by surfers a few meters from the coast. The jury assesses the difficulty and resolution of each manga in a championship with lots of fans all over Europe. If we add to this beauty the best windsurfers on the international scene, entertainment is guaranteed both on the beach and outside.

The Las Dunas campsite, the main promoter of this pioneering event in Spain, offers a program full of activities within the framework of the EFPT 2019. The entire family will  enjoy urban art workshops or animation by the LaLaDu camping mascot for children. Adults will also have their moment of relax with SUP Yoga classes, zumba on the beach, surfskate masterclass or the concert on Saturday May 25 with barbecue included. The price per adult is € 10 and access will be free for children under 10 years and pets.

What is the European Freestyle ProTour?

The European Freestyle ProTour (EFPT) joins the best freestyle windsurfing competitions in Europe, with the best riders in the world. The EFPT is a tour of 7-8 events per year, crowning the European freestyle champion and ranking the top 12 competitors by the Professional windsurfers Association; a direct access to the title of world champion.
