Besal\u00fa<\/b>:<\/p>\n

Besal\u00fa, a town steeped in history to the east of La Garrotxa, is considered one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Catalonia. Next to the town entrance, a medieval bridge dating from the 12th century greets visitors, leading inside a fortress across the river Fluvi\u00e0. We recommend wandering through the streets and alleys to travel back in time to the Middle Ages and admire the styles revealing the existence of an old Jewish quarter. Without leaving La Garrotxa region, visit Castellfollit de la Roca. One of the smallest villages in Catalonia, but also one of the prettiest. As you\u2019ll see from the highway, one the small town\u2019s main charms are the spectacular views of a village nestled on a grandiose cliff formed by lava and the erosion of the rivers Fluvi\u00e0 and Turonell. Simply stunning!<\/p>\n

Beget: <\/b><\/p>\n

Close to Camprodon lies Beget, a charming little village you\u2019ll fall in love with for sure. Its quaint streets seem trapped in time. This is no surprise: the village still has its original 12th century structure. Although most homes have been restored, the city\u2019s medieval scenery remains alive and well in each street. If you\u2019re planning a trip, we recommend visiting the San Crist\u00f3bal church and crossing the three bridges joining its neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n

Puigcerd\u00e0: <\/b><\/p>\n

Just before the French border lies the capital of the Cerdanya region: Puigcerd\u00e0. Its bustling streets feature shops and services of every kind, and with the stunning surrounding scenery, this is one of the most popular places in the Girona Pyrenees all year round. If you’re planning a trip, in addition to exploring the town\u2019s streets, we recommend going up the bell tower, which offers stunning views of the Cerdanya Valley. Puigcerd\u00e0 has several corners to stroll around, but don\u2019t miss the lake for spectacular vistas.<\/p>\n
